Steve Decker - Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation / Wild & Uncut / EP 87
On this episode of the Wild & Uncut Podcast, Kristy Titus is in Las Vegas at RMEF’s Hunter & Outdoor Christmas in conjunction with the National Finals Rodeo with The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s CRO, Steve Decker.
Steve has been an integral part of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation since its inception in 1984 and has since followed in the footsteps of his father, Charlie Decker, one of RMEF’s co-founders. The organization began with modest roots, driven by a passionate community of hardworking individuals dedicated to conservation. What began as a small, grassroots effort would ultimately grow into a movement that would revolutionize the conservation landscape as we know it today.
Thanks to the support of over 200,000 members and nearly 500 chapters nationwide, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation continues to thrive and expand. This growth is a true testament to the dedication of its volunteers, supporters, and members who remain deeply committed to the organization’s mission. To date, RMEF has conserved or enhanced over 9 million acres, and the best is yet to come for the organization and its dedicated members.
Join us for this episode as they reflect on the remarkable history of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and explore the exciting future ahead. We'll highlight the organization's mission—focused on conservation and habitat enhancement—and the efficient, impactful ways it continues to make a difference.
